Our Chair. 

The Chair for Chinese Culture and Society is part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. The Chair seeks to inform the present by examining how socio-cultural dynamics have evolved in urbanised China. Our research is highly rooted in interdisciplinary approaches from literary theory, cultural studies, visual arts, as well as urban studies.
